Sanremo is well connected and easy to reach, from Italy and abroad alike. Depending on where you start, you can choose the train, a flight into the nearby airports, or the car along the Autostrada dei Fiori. In this guide you'll find all the options and travel times to plan your trip.
By train
Sanremo's station is on the Riviera railway line, with direct links from Genoa, Milan, Ventimiglia and France. It's a convenient, green option, and the station is close to the centre. From France, the coastal line connects Nice and Menton to Ventimiglia, from where you easily continue to Sanremo.
By plane: Nice and Genoa airports
The handiest airports are Nice (in France) and Genoa, both about one to one-and-a-half hours from Sanremo by car or train. Nice offers the most international flights. From the airport you can continue by train, bus, private transfer or rental car. Milan is also an option for those coming from far away.
By car and where to park
By car you arrive via the A10 motorway (Sanremo exit). In town, central parking is limited and paid: there are public car parks and garages, but in high season and during the Festival they fill up fast. It's best to check the options near your accommodation in advance: write to us and we'll give you the right directions for check-in.
